Our Story

Javeenbah Theatre Company has been entertaining and enriching the Gold Coast community for over 40 years. Founded with a passion for live theatre and a commitment to community, Javeenbah has grown from humble beginnings into one of the Gold Coast's most beloved and respected community theatre companies.

Performing in our intimate 100-seat theatre, we produce up to six mainstage productions each year — from classic musicals and dramas to contemporary works — performed by talented local artists who dedicate their time and passion to every production. Our doors are open to all: performers, crew, volunteers, and audience members who share our love of the stage.

At Javeenbah Theatre Company, we believe that live theatre belongs to everyone. For over four decades, we've brought professional-quality productions to the Gold Coast stage — performed by passionate local artists who give their time, talent, and heart to every show.

We're committed to nurturing emerging artists — whether you're stepping onto a stage for the first time or returning to a craft you love. Our productions, workshops, and auditions are open to all members of the Gold Coast community.

Javeenbah Theatre Company is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all performers, crew, volunteers, and audience members. Our Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected of everyone involved with our company.
